The Early Childhood Intervention network held its inaugural web conference and call on December 9, 2011. Members shared ideas for the group's goals and future achievements. Those ideas included:

• Creating an inventory and synthesizing evidence from early childhood interventions
• Strengthening the approach to evaluating interventions
• Linking RCT to longitudinal studies
• Linking the evidence to biology and economic/social models of human development
