In 2016, the Human Capital and Economic Opportunity Global Working Group (HCEO) expanded our programming across the world, helping to foster our commitment to connect cross-disciplinary experts in the study of inequality.
HCEO hosted 8 events in 3 different countries, including 3 sessions of our Summer School on Socioeconomic Inequality. These events had 273 participants from 118 institutions.
We expanded the reach of our members' research through 3 new website initiatives: our 3 Questions interviews, Research Spotlight series, and through video interviews.
This past year, HCEO welcomed 43 new members and published 37 working papers.
Looking ahead, we will be introducing conference live-streaming to expand our programming to members unable to physically attend. HCEO will host 3 Summer Schools, including our first ever in Russia. We will also award a dissertation prize to a graduating student.
We are grateful to those who help make our work possible and look forward to a productive 2017.
