We are pleased to announce that CEHD's Research Network On The Determinants Of Life Course Capabilities and Outcomes initiative is now accepting applications for its Pilot Grant Program.
The Network is funded by the National Institutes of Health, and spans disciplines including economics, psychology, genetics, sociology, and statistics. Its' goal is to synthesize and extend understanding of the measurement and development of capabilities. Pilot projects must advance Network goals or support preliminary studies with potential to form a foundation for future independent research in areas relevant to Network goals. Pilot grants are available to scholars within 5 years of receipt of their Ph. D., or to graduate students.
Applications are solicited in four project areas:
- Methodological research on measurement, causality, and mechanisms
- Linking social science and genetics
- Understanding the evolution of capabilities across the life course
- Developmental origins of health
Pilot grant recipients will present their findings at a Network-wide workshop in 2018. Three pilot grants of up to $10,000 for a one-year period will be awarded in this round.
