Paul Davidson is the editor and co-founder of the Journal of Post Keynesian Economics. He is the author, co-author, or editor of more than 22 books and over 230 professional published articles. He has taught at University of Pennsylvania, Rutgers University, University of Bristol (UK) and the University of Tennessee [Holly Chair of Excellence in Political Economy] and was a Visiting Scholar at Cambridge University. He has also held visiting professorships at the University of Nice, the Institute for Advanced Studies (Vienna) and University of Strasbourg.



He has been the Associate Director of the Economics Division of the Continental Oil Company, a member of the Brookings Economic Panel, and consultant to numerous organizations including Resources for the Future, Energy Policy Project (Ford Foundation), Central Bank of Ecuador, Central Bank of Uruguay, Central Bank of Venezuela, the InterAmerican Institute for Capital Markets, Federal Trade Commission, Western Union Telegraph Company, Chase Econometrics Associates, State of Alabama, New York State Consumer Protection Agency, and the U.S. International Communication Agency (USIA and USIS). He received a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Brooklyn College, and MBA degree from City University of New York, and a PhD in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. He taught Biochemistry at the University of Pennsylvania medical School before switching to study economics.
