The Review of Economic Dynamics Special Issue on Human Capital and Inequality is now available on the Society for Economics Dynamics website. The special issue came out of HCEO's Human Capital and Inequality Conference, held December 16 and 17, 2015, at the University of Chicago. The conference was organized by Markets network leaders Dean Corbae, Mariacristina De Nardi, and Lance Lochner.
The goals of the conference and the journal were to foster and gather research on these topics, using insight from macroeconomics, microeconomics, theory, and econometrics. The journal covers a broad range of topics from multisciplinary scholars around the world: HCEO Co-director James Heckman and MIP network member Rong Hai look at inequality in human capital; ECI/M network member Orazio Attanasio, ECI/FI/M network member Costas Meghir, and coauthors explore poverty in Ethiopia and Peru; and Markets network member Fabian Kindermann and co-authors study reforming the educational financing system.
