W. Steven Barnett

W. Steven Barnett is a Board of Governors Professor and Director of the National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER) at Rutgers University. Barnett research includes studies of the economics of early care and education including costs and benefits, the long term effects of preschool programs on children's learning and development, and the distribution of educational opportunities. He has authored or co-authored over 160 publications including 14 books.

Orazio Attanasio

Orazio Attanasio is the Cowles Professor of Economics at Yale University. He is also a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, a Senior Fellow at the Bureau for Research and Economic Analysis of Development, a Research Fellow at the Center for Economic and Policy Research, and a Fellow of the British Academy and of the Econometric Society.

Angus Armstrong

Angus Armstrong is the Director of Macroeconomics at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIECR) since September 2011. Previously, he was Head of Macroeconomic Analysis at Her Majesty's Treasury from mid-2004, where he was closely involved in the UK's response to the financial crisis, including representation at G20 Officials Meetings. Prior to joining the Treasury, Aramstrong was Chief Economist Asia and a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank. He is an Adjunct professor at Imperial College Business School.

Aloisio Araujo

Aloiso Araujo is a full Professor at both the Associação Instituto Nacional de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (Brazil) and the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (Brazil). He has published several papers in Econometrica, the Journal of Economic Theory, the Journal of Mathematical Economics, Economic Theory, the Journal of International Economics, and RAND Journal of Economics, among others.

Silke Anger

Silke Anger is Senior Researcher at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin) in the Department German Socio-Economic Panel Study (SOEP) and Research Fellow at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA).  Her research interests include empirical labor economics and health economics, with a particular focus on cognitive and non-cognitive skills, intergenerational mobility and risky behavior. Her work has been published in journals such as Labour Economics, Journal of Population Economics, and Journal of Health Economics.

Harold Alderman

Harold Alderman is currently a consultant to the World Bank, having spent 19 years at the World Bank as social protection advisor in the Africa region. He is also serving as a Senior Research Fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute. His current research has focused on the linkages between nutrition and early childhood development and the means by which nutrition and social protection programs contribute to long-term economic growth.

Stefania Albanesi

Stefania Albanesi is a Professor of Economics at the University of Pittsburgh, a fellow at the Center for Economic and Policy Research, and a Research Associate at NBER. Albanesi's research interests are in macroeconomics, public economics, and labor economics. Her current research concentrates on understanding the determinants of household borrowing and default behavior, and on quantifying the impact of changing trends in female participation on aggregate business cycles.

George Akerlof

George Akerlof is the Koshland Professor of Economics at the University of California Berkeley. Akerlof was a 2001 recipient of the Alfred E. Nobel Prize in Economic Science, recognized for his theory of asymmetric information and its effect on economic behavior. He is also the 2006 president of the American Economic Association. He served earlier as vice president and member of the executive committee. He is also on the North American Council of the Econometric Association.
