HCEO is pleased to announce that applications are now open for our 2017 Summer School on Socioeconomic Inequality (SSSI) Guangzhou and our NES-HCEO SSSI in Moscow. Our Summer Schools provide a state-of-the-art overview on the study of inequality and human flourishing. Through rigorous lectures, students will be trained on the tools needed to study the issue of inequality.        

SSSI 2017 Guangzhou will be held at Jinan University from June 26 through June 30. SSSI Guangzhou, our fourth Summer School in China, is under the direction of HCEO Co-director Steven Durlauf, MIP network members Lawrence Blume and Shuaizhang Feng, and Markets network member Chao Fu.                                                                                                                                   

2017 NES-HCEO will be held at the New Economic School in Moscow from August 28 through September 2. It it our first SSSI to be held in Russia. SSSI Moscow is organized by Steven Durlauf and MIP network member Shlomo Weber.

Our Summer Schools are open to graduate students from around the world. Participants will be selected from a diverse pool of applicants, representing many disciplines, including: economics, sociology, public health, public policy, and education.
