Now Accepting Applications for SSSI 2019 Chengdu

HCEO is pleased to announce that applications are now open for our inaugural Summer School on Socioeconomic Inequality (SSSI) Chendgu. SSSI Chengdu 2019 will provide a state-of-the-art overview on the study of inequality and human flourishing. Through rigorous lectures, students will be trained on the tools needed to study the issue of inequality.   

The summer school will be held at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in Chengdu, China from July 15 through July 19, 2019. SSSI Chengdu is organized by HCEO Co-Director Steven Durlauf, ECI network member Junsen Zhang, and Southwestern University Professor Li Gan, and is hosted by the Research Institute of Economics and Management.

The summer school is open to current doctoral students and post-doctoral researchers from around the world. Participants will be selected from a diverse pool of applicants, representing many disciplines, including: economics, sociology, public health, public policy, and education.
