Nezih Guner is ICREA (Catalan Institution for Research and Advanced Studies) research professor at MOVE (Markets, Organizations and Votes in Economics), an adjunct faculty at Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, and a Research Professor of Barcelona Graduate School of Economics. After graduating from University of Rochester, he was an assistant professor of economics at Queen’s University (Canada), Pennsylvania State University, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, and a Ramon y Cajal Fellow and an associate professor at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He is a Research Fellow with Institute for Study of Labor (IZA) and a Research Affiliate with Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). He is a co-editor of Economic Inquiry, and an Associate Editor of Journal of Population Economics and Journal of Spanish Economic Association (SERIEs). In 2010, Nezih Guner was awarded an European Research Council Starting Grant.
Guner received a B.A. in Economics and Sociology and an M.A. in Economics from Bogazici Universitesi in 1992 and 1994 respectively, and an M.A. and Ph.D. both in Economics from the University of Rochester in 1997 and 2000 respectively.
