Nicola Fuchs-Schündeln is professor for Macroeconomics and Development at Goethe University Frankfurt. Prior to joining the faculty of Goethe University in 2009, she was an assistant professor at Harvard University. Her research focuses on the analysis of household saving and labor supply behavior, labor market integration, and the endogeneity of preferences. She has published among others in the American Economic Review and the Quarterly Journal of Economics. Nicola Fuchs-Schündeln is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the German Federal Ministry of Finance. She serves as managing editor of Economic Policy, is a director and member of the editorial board of the Review of Economic Studies, and a member of the editorial board of the Journal of the European Economic Association.

Fuchs-Schündeln received her Ph.D. in Economics from Yale University in 2004.
