Weerachart Tee Kilenthong is an assistant professor in the Faculty of Economics at the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC) and the director of the Research Institute for Policy Evaluation and Design (RIPED). His research interests include growth and development, macroeconomics, contract theory, financial economics, labor and education economics. He received a Bachelor degree in Engineering (First Class Honor with Gold Medal) from Masters Degree in Physics from Chulalongkorn University. He worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Economics at the University of California at Santa Barbara before joining RIPED in 2010.
Kilenthong received a B.Eng. in Civil Engineering and M.Sc. in Physics from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand in 1998 and 2000 respectively, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago in 2003 and 2006 respectively.
