Ariel Knafo is an associate professor at the Psychology Department, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His research focuses on the development and consequences of values and of prosocial behavior, combining approaches from developmental, social, and cross-cultural psychology. His doctoral work at The Hebrew University on intergenerational value transmission, has evolved into current research on how value priorities in adolescence develop in different contexts, considering different aspects opf adoelscetns' identity.
Angela Duckworth is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania. She studies individual differences that predict achievement. Her research centers on self-control (the ability to regulate emotions, thoughts, and feelings in the service of valued goals) and grit (perseverance and sustained interest in long-term goals). In prospective, longitudinal studies, she documents the relationships among self-control, grit, and intelligence, and their prediction of academic and professional achievement.
Clancy Blair is a Professor in the Department of Applied Psychology at New York University. He is a developmental psychologist who studies self-regulation in young children. His research focuses primarily on the development of cognitive abilities referred to as executive functions important for school readiness and early school achievement and the effects of early life stress on executive function development.
