Welcome to the second installment of HCEO’s virtual Summer School on Socioeconomic Inequality (SSSI). This year's online summer school is comprised of eight new lectures designed for Ph.D. students. HCEO’s summer school program is aimed at teaching the tools needed to study inequality and to communicate a sense of the research frontier on this topic. We also intend for the virtual SSSI to break down barriers between theoretical, econometric, and empirical work.
We thank our funder – the Institute for New Economic Thinking – as well as the Center for the Economics of Human Development for their support of the Human Capital and Economic Opportunity Global Working Group. We are glad you are able to join us for this summer school and hope you find it a valuable experience.
